The Young Venture Group, founded by Wim de Jong, is a real estate developer and investor located in The Hague. For the past four years, The Young Venture Group was listed in the PropertyNL Top 101 real eastate developers in the Netherlands.

Over a period of 10 years, the company has developed and a diverse real estate portfolio which was then added to its investment portfolio. In the future, the company will focus exclusively on optimizing and managing its existing portfolio.

reBirth, which is led by managing partner Nanne Veenstra and is located at Parkstraat 183 in The Hague, will continue and expand the development activities. The team and development projects have been taken over as a part of the acquisition. reBirth has the ambition to scale up in the coming years.

Veenstra (1981) studied Economics at the University of Groningen. After obtaining his diploma, he worked at major international banks for 7 years before setting up his own real estate company in Amsterdam. In his most recent position, he held the role of General Manager at The Young Venture Group, where he led the transition from real estate developer to investor.

Veenstra: “reBirth is a new name but has a long track record. We continue to focus on distressed real estate, and use the opportunities and challenges that arise today.

As a result of the corona pandemic, for example, we entered into discussions with owners who have obtained a different look at their real estate assets. I expect to announce some interesting transactions in the near future.”

The development position at the Havenkwartier in Rijswijk is part of the transaction. On the location of the former concrete plant, two apartment complexes will be realized with commercial space on ground floor. reBirth will further develop this position on behalf of The Young Venture Group. In addition, reBirth acquired a redevelopment property in the center of Naaldwijk last month.

De Jong remains active as a shareholder and advisor to reBirth.
